A group of architecture students at the Studio for Urban Projects in San Francisco recently sought to determine the provenance of the taco. What they discovered is quite astounding: the ingredients in this humble meal had traveled a total of 64,000 miles.
While the intention of this project was to call attention to the question of sustainability, it seems this map also illustrates the interconnectedness of our global economy.
