Independent Contractors/Language Professionals
We qualify all freelance suppliers according to our ISO 9001:2000 quality process, and carefully match the right professionals to the specific needs of a given project. The following minimum items are required for working with Prisma:

1. appropriate legal work status (see below)
2. email address
3. experience in professional translation (specific qualifications will be evaluated)
4. ability to read a PDF file using Adobe Acrobat Reader
5. ability to use translation memory tools such as TRADOS®.

Appropriate Legal Work Status
In accordance with U.S. Federal law, all independent contractors who reside in the United States of America must possess a legal work status, and are required to complete IRS Form W-9 before being contracted for work. This form is included in Prisma's supplier packet which you will receive as part of our qualification process.

If you reside outside the United States and are a US Citizen, you are also required to submit the W-9 form.
