Prisma participates in historic Trade Mission to China
Prisma International CEO Jim Romano accompanied Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and a delegation of over 200 leaders on a historic trade mission to the People´s Republic of China.
The trade delegation, the largest from any US state in history, included leaders from business, academic, and government sectors, and spanned a broad range of industries from medical to information technology, agricultural to general business.
"It´s an honor and a privilege to represent both Prisma and its home state of Minnesota on this historic trip," commented Romano. "The excitement and energy of the Chinese is matched only by our own eagerness to embrace new markets and opportunities."
With stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen, the delegation criss-crossed the country in a non-stop series of meetings and networking opportunities. Romano, who had been part of the State of Minnesota´s previous mission to China, led by then-Governor Jesse Ventura, remarked on the changes in the interim: "What a difference three years makes. The tectonic shifts in China from 2002 to 2005 cover just about every aspect of the social and business landscape."
