Quality
Every translation solution must include a quality strategy; that is, an approach that defines, produces and protects quality standards as required.
Higher quality generally implies higher cost; however, by developing a translation solution that captures quality, builds on it and “learns” over time, the cost of quality will go down over time, not up.
The quality strategy must also include metrics, the capturing and reporting of key performance indicators that provide the tools to manage and improve quality over time. The well-established notion that “if you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it” holds true for translation quality as much as for any manufacturing area.
